Новая сила на рынке разъемов — USB Type-C

USB Type-C connector

Review major consumer electronics manufacturers (eg Apple phones, Google ’s Google, Nexus phones, etc.). If you do this, you will find that a brand new selling point has been mentioned many times, that is to emphasize that its products are equipped with a USB Type-C interface. With the continuous thinning of consumer electronics products, in order to make consumers more convenient to use, USB connector manufacturers have developed a new product USB Type-C.
USB Type-C (called USB-C) is mainly used for the appearance of mobile device connectors with new appearance specifications. The design concept is to realize the function that allows users to connect the two sides. The volume is also smaller than the current Micro B, and can be used with USB3.1 or USB-PD2.0 connectors according to different functional requirements of manufacturers. Because he has a brand-new interface size and a somewhat cool name, it is easy for a friend who first heard the name to mistake the new USB standard. In fact, it is only part of the USB 3.1 standard. The birth of Type C is not far away. At the end of 2013, the appearance of the Type-C connector came out, and it was completed with the USB 3.1 standard in 2014. It is a new type of USB cable and connector specification, and is a brand new set of USB physical specifications. It should be noted that, similar to the common USB 2.0, the USB 3.1 standard still has interfaces such as Type-A (common in computer hosts) and Type-B (common in Android phones), so Type-C is only used for USB 3.1 high-speed data transmission. One, not the only one.

This is some knowledge about USB connectors. Generally speaking, we usually use the following three USB interfaces:

 1. Type-A: Standard USB interface. Type-A is one of the most common types of USB interfaces most commonly used on our computers. But it has some major problems: there are direction requirements. You must insert the connector (male) into the interface (female) from a specific direction, but because the sides of the USB male port are very close in shape, the insertion process often makes mistakes.

2. Micro-B: USB standard for mobile devices. The latest Android phones use the Micro USB interface (ie USB Micro-B), and this interface is still widely used in various mobile portable devices.

3. USB Type-C: It may become mainstream. Although Type-C is about to come out, it is foreseeable that with the maturity of USB Type-C technology, various future notebook computers, tablets, and even smartphones will begin to popularize the USB Type-C interface.

As the size of electronic products becomes smaller and smaller, the power consumption of these devices is also increasing. At the same time, it must process more and more information and data. There is no doubt that manufacturers are facing huge challenges in how to better realize wireless charging and data transmission of devices. Connector products must be used in a limited space to create more refined and versatile products to save equipment manufacturers space to add more new functional devices. At present, to achieve a small size, in addition to extremely thin connectors, it also faces two other challenges: heat dissipation and mechanical stability. If other electronic components are damaged due to overheating of the connector, it will be very regrettable. These will become the problems that connector manufacturers need to try their best to solve in the future.
